These will be all over the web but I simply have to point out the amazing
first-light images and videos from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (
SDO). You can probably find some video clips on
YouTube, but it's worthwhile to download the
29 MB QuickTime to see all the detail in the March 30 prominence that is shown in still frame here. You can find more first light images in
this gallery.
