I just happened to notice this very cool painting which I had downloaded as wallpaper a while ago. "Chasm" (large version here) is an imagined Mars scene by an artist named `Alyn who has quite an impressive array of space-related and other imaginative work in his gallery at DeviantART - which is a very interesting site in general.I may be posting occasionally from the Southern Blogosphere the next two weeks, or maybe not - it all depends on how our vacation goes. I'm looking forward to finally meeting some internet friends and to seeing some views of the stars down under.
